English Version
The Jagüelito project is located in the Andean mountain system, geologic province of Frontal Cordillera, in the department of Iglesia, approximately 310 km from the city of San Juan. The property iswithin the Valle del Cura mining district, part of theEl Indio metallogenic belt.
The project was explored by Minera Peñoles (1996-2002), Minera IRL Argentina S.A. (2006-2009), and Mexplort Perforaciones Mineras S.A. (2013-present). Detailed geologic mapping, surface geochemistry, and geophysical studies have been conducted on the area. Approximately 30,000 meters have been drilled, and reserves are estimated at 366,000 oz of Au equivalent.
Jagüelito is a high-sulfidation epithermal deposit of Ag-Au, related to Miocene volcanism and hosted in Permian-Triassic volcaniclastic units. Its mineralization is related to a northeast-southwest trending fault system.
