The Manantiales project is located on the eastern margin of the geologicalprovince of Cordillera Frontal, in the department of Calingasta, about 215 km from the city of San Juan. This area is part of a mining district that includes the Casposo, Castaño Nuevo and Castaño Viejo mines.
The mineralization is interpreted to beof alow-sulfidation epithermal Au-Ag type in quartz and quartz-carbonate vein structures, hosted in Permo-Triassic volcanic and intrusive rocks.
Between 2010 and 2012, the company Elementos Ltd. carried out 7,965 meters of drilling over 55 drill holes, thatresulted in a resource estimate of 32K oz of Au equivalentin the Manantiales vein. Since 2020, the company Casposo Argentina Ltd. (Austral Gold), has continued exploration work through an exploration agreement with option to exploit with IPEEM, drilling 6072 meters in the Manantiales vein. As of May 2024, a new resource estimate at that vein has identified 57,861oz of Au equivalent. It is anticipated that the orefrom the Manantiales vein will be treated at the Casposo mine processing plant,at a distance of approximately9 km from the deposit.
